Birthday Run! / 5 Miles

My 40th birthday is a beautiful day!  And I had a really enjoyable 5 mile run.  I listened to my audio book for maybe 3.5 miles and then music for the rest.  I could tell I was slowing down after 2.5 or 3 miles, which is part of the reason I switched.  The other reason is that I was feeling tired.  And switching to music fixed that.  Very interesting!  I wonder if I run with a different gait and it is tiring?

I did some lunges and pushups and ab things when I got home.  And now I go to the spa!  Yay birthdays, I say!

Glad you had such a great birthday! And a big surprise at the end!

I'm still doing my push ups and sit ups every morning and icing my heel 3 times a day. I haven't felt any twinges down there at all for many days now but that means nothing at this point. We'll see how it is on Wednesday when I go for a short run.

Two weeks from today is the Fitnatics 5K. Hope I'm ready.
