Gym
Today was a gym day. I want to start going two times a week. I figure I can do one weekday and one weekend day. Plus one night of pilates a week. That should be good for me.
Also, it was very cold out this am. Not Wisconsin cold, of course!
But I did the elliptical for 10 to 15 minutes, I think it was more like 12. Because I was going to do 10 but I was in the middle of a good song! Then I did TSWTH for 15 minutes. And then I lifted weights.
I pulled out my food diary and scale today. I need to get serious before I end up having to join Weight Watchers!
Back At It
We're having a snow day here so I didn't get out of bed to stay until 7 am. But I did run 4.21 miles on the TM and do all my exercises. After lunch I will be outside shoveling for an hour so more exercise there.

Big Run
Today gave me a lot of confidence that I will be able to do the half. Not in a great time, but I will be able to finish.
I did a 10 mile run today and I really felt good about it. Not too tired or broken after. And that's a good sign, I think. I'm going to do another long run this weekend, I think.
Tomorrow I go to the doctor for that blood work. I am eating dinner soon and then I'll start the fast!

In a hurry here because I have to get into the city for Roger Bonham's funeral but I did run 4.22 miles on the TM this morning and did my exercises. Felt it in my chest a little today but I am much improved over last week so on the mend. gotta go...

Catching Up
I'm behind on my posting! I came up to San Francisco on Friday, so it's been a little discombobulated.
I had a good run on Friday. 5.13 miles, if I remember. That's the danger of not posting right away. I forget! Yesterday I went to the hotel gym and did the elliptical and lifted weights. And then we just walked for MILES. I wish I knew how far. But we did a heck of a lot of walking. And a lot of hills. I leave at 4 something today do we will do more walking before that!

It wasn't pretty...
...but I got it done this morning. I started to feel much better yesterday afternoon and evening. Slept pretty well and decided to give it a try this morning. My plan called for an 8 mile run outside but since I've been sick for days and since it was only +11 out there this morning I opted for 3 miles on the TM which I got done. I felt exhausted afterwards but I did it. Also did all my exercises so I am back. I'm not at all sure I will be ready for the SD Half but we'll see how the coming week goes.

I HATE being sick!
I really do hate it. This is the 3rd morning with no run or exercise. I just don't have the energy. I did sleep better last night so am very hopeful that I'm going to turn the corner here today.

More Stuff and More Things
I had a good and long run this am. 7.13 miles. It was a really nice day all day today and a particularly nice day to run.
I didn't run hills today because I was tired. I did take a lunch break, though. And I went to pilates tonight, which was fun.

Stuff and Things
I slept well today, but I feel like I have a sinus headache. I didn't take medicine, thought, because it puts me on another planet! But, all in all, I had a good day.
I ran 5.13 miles this morning. I didn't run more because today was our Frosting Off and I still needed to make my submission!
Two days in a row now I have taken lunch. And I ran hills at lunch - really nice day.
Then I did one of the 10 minute pilates ab videos tonight when I came home.

Good Morning
Maybe not so good. Feel like I'm coming down with a cold. No doubt from that run outside yesterday. Woke up during the night with a terrible sore throat. I did run 3 on the TM this morning and did my exercises but it was work all the way.

Good Morning
Well, it wasn't pretty and it sure didn't set any records but I ran around the 6 mile block here this morning. The satellite said it was 6.18 miles and took me 67.29. I felt like I walked as much as I ran! But there's no where to go but up from here, right? I waited until 9:45 to leave the house and it was +32 then but a pretty good breeze. I did fine going east and north and west but when I turned south on 180th to head home that wind hit me right in the face. I didn't like it! And I don't like running in all those clothes...long johns top and bottom, pants, t shirt (Grandma's training shirt!), and a big sweatshirt, gloves and hat. Give me San Diego any day! So it wasn't the greatest run but it's a start. Last year I didn't run outside until way into March.

Catching up!
I forgot to post yesterday! But I did have something to post. We've had leisurely mornings here and I've been able to run. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful and I ran 6.5 miles. Slow pace - as usual! But I did it and felt good about it, so that's what matters. Busy out there and I saw a lot of other runners.
This morning I just two 10 minute sessions of the pilates video. I sure could feel it. I really need to get consistent about doing that again.

Gym!
Today was a gym day! I could have run, but I haven't been to the gym since Christmas, so I decided it was time to go! I did the elliptical for 15 and The Stairway to Hell for 15, then some weight lifting. It was fun!

Cut Short!
I didn't really like my run today, so I only went 4 miles. I just felt kind of floaty. I have been doing this new thing were I'm eating a bag of the Stingers before I run. Well, an hour before I run or so. And I kind of felt like I was having a sugar rush or sugar high! I also realized that I didn't fix the coffee pot for mom before I left and I wanted to do that for her. So I came home and my timing was perfect! I got the coffee all set and then she got up. I am glad I got back in time!
Naturally I weigh exactly the same. Which is a lot.

Running Between Drops
We had such crazy rain last night! I woke up at 2:33 am and I think it was hailing. It sounded so hard. We have really had some wet and windy days here. Naturally, since I have company!
I did run this morning, but I went late and really bided my time. I did not want to get rained out. And I didn't! I did a 5 mile run and it went well. Felt good. I did abs when I got back.
Did I tell you that I thought my knee was screwed up for a couple of days? It was weird - fluttery. I couldn't even know what was up. It didn't hurt. Just felt odd. Well, turns out it was my new running pants! They have a seam that was hitting my left knee just right to feel weird!

Day 1......
....I guess! I need to get a program together here. I will check out Grandma's again. I signed up to get it via email, but nothing has come thus far.
This morning I ran 7 miles. I took yesterday off, so I felt pretty strong today. I did abs after that. Not butterflies!!
I'm aiming to eat healthy during company time. I still can't shake this extra weight. It's very very frustrating.

Inbetween
That was me today. Running in-between the raindrops! I'm glad I didn't wait for it to clear up because it never did! But I didn't get rained on at all and it actually drizzled the rest of the day.
Did about 6.5 today. I tried to do crunches after but my abs feel like somebody kicked me! Pilates!

Big Run
I was 15 minutes late for work today, which never happens! And it was because I accidentally over ran! I ran 7 miles rather than the 6.3ish. They were not doing tar work this am but the smell was still around so I made my U on Adams and then wrapped it back around. TL/DR version: I went to far. By the time I got back to 36th I was at 6.8 and I figured I might as well round it off.
Good run. Slow. I don't think my pace will pick up again till I start running hills. And I worked just hours and hours today, so that didn't happen. Soon!

Trembley!
Do your muscles ever get trembley? My do. In fact, mine are right now! I just got done with pilates and, wow, was it tough. Good class, but I'm also feeling so out of shape. But it was great to be there tonight. I'm starting to come down and feel less stressed from January, I think.
I did run this am, but only 3 miles. They were doing some tar work over in Kensington and I just despise that smell! So I didn't torture myself.
Getting company soon! Yay!

Good Morning
I'm up and at it and did 3 miles on the TM but it's not right. The belt is loose under there again and I think has seen it's day. I have ordered a new belt and will try and tighten up the old one again tonight so I can get by until the new one arrives. I could just go buy a new TM but I'm not ready for that yet. So, anyway, I did the 3 miles and the exercises.
I'm having a cyst removed from the front of my left leg this afternoon so I am wondering if I'll be taking tomorrow off. I have no idea how this will affect me. But I'm glad to finally be having it taken off.

Yesterday!
I'm behind in my posting! I had a really neat run yesterday. I met my coworker (Jonathan - who signed up for the half marathon) over in Coronado and we did a 6 mile run. Let me tell you, much whining ensued! But we did it and it was just an absolutely beautiful day. We met around noon so it was a little bit hotter than I'm used to, especially at the end.
But it was fun to have a running partner!
I'm taking today off but I am bringing my running gear to Palm Springs. I don't know/think that I'll have a chance to run, but it doesn't hurt anything to bring it along just in case the opportunity arises. Have shoes, will travel!

Short Run
I only did 3 miles today. I just piddled my morning away and was so surprised when it was 7:20! So I kept it short and I plan on doing along run tomorrow, so that's OK.
Pretty boring out there today - not much going on at that time of the am I guess. Everyone is where they're supposed to be or getting there!

Short Run
I shorted myself and it wasn't on purpose! I got back home and I had only gone 5.5 and I was really surprised! I really had planned on doing 6.4. But that happens sometimes, I guess. I have over run in the past so I guess I deserve an accidental under-run now and again.
But it was a good run this am. Really nice, just a little cold.
I also ran hills today! I couldn't believe it! But I was able to get out and do it.
Now I'm debating about watching the xfiles. Hope you're having a great time!
Good Morning
I missed yesterday. Just didn't get up in time. So I went upstairs to the fitness room last night but I can't run on a full stomach so only did 1 mile and then quit. But this morning I did my usual 3 miles there. The fitness room and pool area are on the 14th floor - the top floor. So I was thinking I could watch the city wake up while running but it is sooooo foggy here this morning it's unreal. I felt like I was running in the clouds! Very strange but kind of cool. Heading off to the Sem now pretty soon.
