I ran 3.25 on the TM this morning but upped my speed to 5.8 mph. I could feel it, too, but need to start upping it I think. Been at 5.7 for too long. Also did all the exercises for the first time since last Thursday.
I'm going to school at Luther tomorrow through Friday. Staying at a Holiday Inn with a fitness center so am planning to run each morning. I hope! Gary will also be there so we could have a couple of late nights!

Yesterday
I am taking today off because I was out all night last night! Bart and I went to go see a couple of bands and so I slept in this morning. As much as I could, anyway.
I actually ran yesterday evening. Very unusual for me but I was pretty busy and couldn't get going in the am, so evening it was! My timing turned out to be perfect because I just finished as the light faded. When it decides to get dark, dang, it decides to get dark!
It was a good run. Just under 6.5 with a 10:14 pace.

Summer!
I'll be darned if it isn't 80 degrees out today. Absolutely beautiful and blue sky. I slept until about 7:30 or so and then ran about 6.42 miles. I can't remember what my watch told me. But it was enjoyable because it was just so darn nice.
I can see the results of more running on the scale. So I'll keep it up.
Saturday Morning
I'll be heading out here pretty soon to run in the Center City 5K which is being held in Lindstrom. Go figure. +14 here at the moment but the sun is shining so it should warm up a little more. I'll report back after the run.

Skipper
I hate to say it but, for the first time ever, I missed a pilates class that I scheduled. It was a group class. And I did let them know, but I feel bad about it. I was working.
But I did run this morning! It was good - really nice day out. I also saw a couple of new to me runners. And I saw a dog walker guy that I have not seen in months!

Long Day!
What a day! I started working at 6am and got home after 7! Hurry up, January! I did run this morning, though. I didn't leave here until 8:30 ( I think), so I only ran 3 miles and was totally late for work but, man, I needed to get away from my computer.
I can see the results of reimplementing my longer runs. In how I feel, how my clothes fit, and what the scale tells me. Well, told me today and yesterday. Hopefully that trend will continue.
Dinner then bed so I can toss and turn. AGAIN! Geesh.

I did it!
I ran hills at lunch today! And, wow, it was hard. I can tell it has been forever. But the queue was quiet, it wasn't raining, and it was not bitterly cold. So I did it! I was so glad.
And I did run this morning. It's funny, I was less interested today than yesterday, but my time was better. 10:14/mile. I also saw crabby white hair guy. He was racing me. Pretty funny - mostly cause I lost! But I had more miles to go and didn't want to burn myself out on some dude that can't be bothered to wave at me!
And I did some ab things and had a healthy eating day. All in all, pretty good!

Perfect Timing!
It was a dark and dreary day here today. All day. But it was dry at running time, so I got ready and brought along my rain gear (baggie) and hit the road. And it only started to sprinkle when I was just two blocks from home. On the way BACK that is! I counted myself very lucky. Especially because it did start raining harder.
It was a good run. About 5.4 miles. I can't remember exactly. But good. And my pace was better than yesterday, so that was happy.
I tried the butterfly situps today. I think I need something under the small of my back because I feel like I'm using it to launch myself up.
So I learned something about my scale today. I need to make sure it is at zero before I get on. I was absolutely flabbergasted at my weight this morning and actually just thought, "That's totally impossible! Totally!" And then I thought to check the starting weight. It was 4.3! No thanks. Doesn't mean that I am where I want to be but, sheesh, I really thought I should go to the doctor and get my thyroid checked or something!
Garmin worked fine
I think I just accidentally pushed the off button on Saturday somehow. It worked fine this morning as I ran 5.17 miles!!! On the TM!! The nike+ says 5.1 and the Garmin says 5.17. So, for now, I'm sticking with the Garmin!

Running
I clearly can't think of a pithy title for this post! To start, I'll tell you I woke up with my back feeling a lot better. It is not 100% yet, but it is better. It's funny, it didn't hurt at all, actually, until I had been up for an hour or so. Enough whining! Point is, it feels better!
I did run today, and I'm so glad. I really thought it was going to rain. Because my weather people told me so! I hope you are sitting - they were wrong! It didn't rain at all. I ran 6.37 (slooooow) miles today. My longest run in quite some time. And it was good. I had a fun time listening to music.
Tomorrow I'll do about 5 again. Actually, I suppose I should go to the gym some time. Maybe I'll do that.

Good Morning
Had a problem with the Garmin for the first time today but I think it's because I somehow pushed the stop button accidentally. It only recorded 48 seconds. I hope that's what I did anyway. But the nike+ worked so I know I did 3.11 miles. We had a short night though because our smoke alarms started chirping at midnight. Has happened before for no reason but very, very annoying. Needless to say, we didn't have a fire. I'm calling the 800 number for advice. In the meantime, I've taken them all down.

Weird Day!
We are supposed to have a storm brewing (there was an alert for "extreme southern CA" - that's me!) and it sure looked to be true this morning! I was running through clouds!
I had a good run this am, although I really didn't sleep well last night. But I did it and I did it all. I woke up with this crick in my back and I figured the run would loosen up the muscle but nope. I still have it. It hurts!

I got up and did the usual. Getting pretty boring. I was looking at new TM's and see that some of them come with wifi now so you can connect and watch running routes on the little screen. Not sure if that would make it less boring or not. They're expensive though. This one just keeps going and going so not ready for a new one yet.

Brrr!
Well, it was no -4, but it was 45 and that's pretty cold for a wake me up. I am going to get some running mittens (gloves, I suppose) this weekend.
It will come as no surprise to you that I weighed MORE today. Enough said on that topic.
I ran 5.46 miles today. I think it was good, but I was so cold I was not focused! Actually, I was pretty sure I was getting hypothermia! Nothing interesting happened on the run today other than the fact that I saw a cop paying someone a visit. In Kensington, if you can credit it!
I did some abs stuff, too.

Back at it!
Well, I did run more today. I ran 5.09 miles. I did the Kensington loop 3 times and then I ran a bit in my neighborhood to make it over 5 (I was at 4.64 when I got back to 36th). It was good. The nano was good.
But, man, was it cold out there! I need some running gloves. 45 when I left this morning.
So, I'll do that distance again tomorrow. I am not going to start getting up at 5. I just need to be more dedicated to getting out there on time!

It's over!
What is over? The running 3 miles. I just am flabbergasted at my weight. It is really depressing. And, yeah, I could eat better/less. But I'm much rather run more. So I'm going to start upping my mileage again, starting tomorrow.
I did run 3 miles today. It was cold, wet, and a little bit drizzly. But I did it!

I did 4 on the TM again today plus my exercises. I plan to do 4 on Mondays and Saturdays when I'm off and 3 the other days for the next couple weeks. I do want to get one 10 miler in before coming to SD so am hoping for a decent day in Feb. and I'll run to the church one day.

Sore!
I went to pilates tonight for the first time in....dang, a long time. And I've lost so much of my strength. It was good because it is motivating but it is also really depressing. I know you know what I mean.

I woke up!
I did set my alarm last night and I did wake up this morning! I woke up at 4:21, thought, "Oh, normally I'd text Angie right now!" and then fell back asleep. And had crazy dreams!
I had a good run this morning. Just 3 miles. I saw 4 other runners out there.
Did I tell you that I have a fancy new scale? It is synced to my network and transmits data so I can see graphs and such. I think I will make a second profile because I read that we should weigh ourselves first thing in the am. I have to ease into that!

Breaking All the Rules!
As long as I have been running I have had 3 cardinal rules. And today I broke them all. It was only 39 degrees (40 degree rule), it's a Sunday (day of rest rule), and it's afternoon (always in the morning rule)...all 3 of them were broken this afternoon when I laced up and ran the Fitnatics 5K route with a pace of 10.03 per mile. It was just beautiful out there so I had to do it! The new Garmin found a satellite and worked great! and I now know that when we run that route we have a change in elevation of 97 feet over the course of the route. Nike+ never told me that!

4 Pounds!
MORE! I weighed 4 pounds more today than yesterday! Soooo irritating.

Sore!
Well, I'll state the obvious. I did not run hills today. January is a hard month, that's for sure.
I woke up super early this morning so I could play texting with Angie. And then I headed to the gym. I ran a mile, did TSWTH, biked for 5 minutes, and then I did the new row machine for 5. I can tell, too! I also did some weight lifting and some ab stuff.
So another day down.

Another half done day
Again, I intended to run hills and, again, I did not make it. Today was more pathetic because I actually changed my clothes! I was like a girl waiting for her prom date to show.....Oh, well, I'll try again tomorrow.
I did run this am. 3 miles. Really nice day again. Pretty lonely out there, though! I sure can tell I've not been running. I'm sore.
I did some pushups and ab stuff this am, too.

Half Made It!
Only half, because I wanted to run hills today and did not get out to do it. But I did run this morning, so I got half of my goal completed!
Today was an amazingly beautiful day. It was 50 when I left here to run (and it was supposed to be 77 today!). I had a very good run. You inspired me and I did 4 miles. I added on that one mile Fenton loop. And my pace was 10:04, which made me happy.
Then I did the 10 minutes abs pilates.
I had a healthy eating day. Thank goodness. I've been eating terribly.

Something new to report
I started the new year today by running 4 miles on the TM! I need to start gearing up for the half marathon is just 2 months!! So, on Mondays and Saturdays I need to up the mileage a little. I only have time for 3 miles on workdays because I won't get up before 6 am. Also did all the exercises. Weight is back up 2 lbs again so need to get rid of it. But that's due to the snacking on nuts, cookies, and all that other stuff around here. Most of it's gone now though so that should lessen the temptation. Taking the tree down today so I better get at it.
