I did the bands when I got home. No hills at lunch today.

Well, I had another good run out there although I was a bit slower. No biggie. I was tired! I like sleep so these short nights are hard on me. Well....kinda. I'd just LOVE to sleep till 9.

I had a fantastic run this morning. Not only was I speedy, it just felt good. I really enjoyed it and loved listening to the music and just putting my mind a way for a few minutes.
Good day overall. I didn't run hills because I had my final lab test tonight. I really needed to study, so I did that at lunch. But lunch and the test are both behind me now! WHEW! I just have the lecture final on Saturday and then I'm over this class. Physiology is next.
I am SO excited to have a running partner!

Did it all again. And added 50 stair steps to the mix. No enthusiasm this morning though. Just not motivated at this point. Hope I'll remember how to run when I get out there next week! Getting discouraged by the weight thing, too. Can't lose these last 3 lbs. Of course, if I would stop snacking and grazing between supper and bedtime it would help.

Good Morning
Yup. I did it all again. And I tried to work on the bike using the higher foot pads (there are two sets, lower and higher) and, wow, that is really hard to do! I couldn't even do 2 minutes on those! That was at the end of everything else so maybe tomorrow I'll try them first and see how that goes.
So, I get a call about 4:30 yesterday from the guy who is supposed to come out from the Cities and diagnose what's wrong with the treadmill and order whatever is needed to fix it. And he doesn't want to come all the way out here! Says they don't pay him enough! He's giving me this big ole speech and I could care less. I just want it fixed! He's going to call his higher ups today and tell them he doesn't want to come out here and they should find somebody else. I have no idea what will happen or when it will get fixed but I am getting pissed off! (That burns calories, right?)

Good Morning
Good morning! I slept in a little this morning but did the aerobic rider for 10 minutes, 45 push ups, 30 sit ups, and 50 jumping jacks. That does get your heart going so it's all good. And the rider is working different muscles than running does so I'm feeling the burn there some. No word from the treadmill repair guy yet. Hope he calls to schedule something today. If not, I will be calling them again. Hope you have a good day!

Running....
out of steam! Boy, did I have a difficult run today. Just really hard, gummy, and not fun. I was going to run an extra mile, but I just didn't have it in me. I blame school today. I spent a lot of time breathing formaldehyde....or something of that nature.
I would have skipped but I am working on a goal and I needed 10 miles by Monday. Now I just need 7. But I really want to make my goal, so I ran anyway.

Day Off
I'm taking this morning off. Not happy with my new morning routine anyway but we're taking Megan to see Footloose at Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Lunch and a matinee. So, it's a good excuse. This is her birthday present for her 16th birthday. Haven't heard a word from the treadmill repair guy yet. I'll call again on Monday morning.

Now I Know!
The saga of Joseph is done! Although, it just might start again tomorrow. That was really fun!
Really nice morning this AM. I had a good run. Really slowed down during my last mile though! But my time was 29:39.
I'm getting back to work on my pushpus. I really slacked for a while. So I did pushups and abs.

Disaster!
Our treadmill is broken!!! The belt slipped on me a couple of times yesterday when I first started out but then was fine the whole time. This morning I didn't notice a problem when I started but at 24.5 minutes it just started slipping very badly. Impossible to continue. Very, very frustrating and has made me very, very grumpy here this morning!!! I went through the recommended tightening procedure (twice) to no avail. I think the front roller is shot again. This happened last May, too, and they came to replace the rollers and the belt. We have a service plan so it's covered but I know it'll be a week at least before it gets fixed. So, what do I do in the meantime? Will have to figure something out. Too much snow and ice on our roads at home here to run outside. Join Snap Fitness for 2 weeks? Not too thrilled about that. Have to drive down there and back so will add a half hour to my time in the morning. No good options. Stay tuned.

Cliffhanger!
That was the end of my run today....a cliffhanger! Why? Because I listened to Joseph! And he is just biding his time in jail. Which means I'm starting my run with "Go Joseph!" Can't wait!
Another slowish run but that's OK. Heck, I didn't even want to do it. So it is good enough that I hit the road.

Monday Night
I was in Eau Claire last night and this morning and didn't have a computer. But they did have a fitness room with a treadmill. Only bad thing was it was on the 2nd floor right over the pool area and opened to a balcony over the pool so it was hot and humid! Very hot and humid. Nevertheless I got on the treadmill and set it to 6 mph (my goal for this week) and I managed to do 20 minutes but I had to just stop. It was so warm in there I was afraid something bad might happen to me! So I only did 20 minutes. Tomorrow I'll be back at it in my own (cool) basement and expect to do the full 30 minutes at 6 mph. We shall see!

Of eating! I've been eating not healthy stuff this weekend - but I'll get back on track.
I did a slow run today. I knew it was going to be slow when I left my house. I guess I wasn't so much interested in really pushing myself as I wanted to have fun and just mosey along. So that's what I did!

Ouch!
I had a hard run today. As in difficult! I actually walked for 1/4 of a mile! I would have walked the entire way home but I had to be at work early today so I didn't have time to be slack! I just had a stomach pain that would not quit! Since it would not quit, I did!

Yep! And excess second! What is this world coming to??? I'll have to come to grips, tis true!
But, honestly, I didn't even want to do it this morning. I went back and forth in my mind the entire warm up/walk block. But I did it. And, funny thing, it is done! Weird how that works.
And I did hills at lunch. I think I'll get back on track with that now. Back to a daily thing. I have missed it.
I'm really fighting with that darn scale. I've been up about three pounds on a consistent basis this past month. Could be the colder weather. Could be the lack of hill running. could also be the fact that I've been drinking a TON of diet pop. And I mean a ton. Today I began the cut back and only had one. But it was really becoming a bad habit. And I do wonder if it causes water and sodium retention or something. Anyway, I want to throw my scale out the window! So, instead, I'll lose the three pounds!

Nike+ won't load right now and I'm too lazy to get off the couch and look at my iPod for my time! That's lazy!

But I did it - even though I was worried about getting rained on! I brought my baggie for technology, however. But it was funny. By my house it was freezing (right!) and had two sprinkles. When I got to Kensington it was warm and sunny! Just shows what money can do......
Not sure if I will run tomorrow. I'm pretty worried about this test tomorrow night and it may still rain. On thing is sure: I'll let you know!

It was a little chilly in when I left, but I don't feel that long, of course. Sure was lonely though!

Well, I did something today that is unusual for me. I caught up! Normally when I get behind on my run, that is the end of that! From the onset I figured I would be over 30. But I just really tried. And I did it!
Nice day - no rain. Lots of puddles though. But the sun was out and it sure felt good.

Today was a really good run. Not just with the time. But it felt great and was really enjoyable! Possibly because I got 7 hours of sleep last night rather then 5. I love sleep and will be so glad when I can sleep more. Like tonight!
Then I did the bands. I can really feel that! I was showing Bart my things with them tonight!
And I did run hills at lunch. Again, felt good! So I'm getting back into the swing.
Healthy eating today, too. Lots of veggies - could have done better on the fruit front. I had some dried cranberries in my oatmeal and a banana and an apple. Dang! That was a lot better then I thought!
I am totally sleeping in tomorrow. Can't wait!

Well, another amazing time! I just can't believe the way patience, persistence, and - yep - stubbornness have paid off! More things I got from you!
I was late hitting the road again. Don't want to make that a habit, but I have two tests next week and I'm a bit overwhelmed. So my morning studying is more engrossing, I guess. Anyway, I left even though I was late doing so. I did the bands today too!
I listened to Muse again today. I just love them. It is so easy to disappear into their music! Good tunes makes a difference.

I had a good run today. I got a late start; didn't leave here till about 7! But it was nice out, of course, and good to be out. Good time, too.
I was a little anxious when I left, but it was good for thinking. And I decided on my run to talk to my coworker and exactly what to say. And then I went to work and did that and everything is fine. I did the hard thing, but the right thing and I'm really glad I did.
I hope you are sitting. I ran at lunch today! Hills! First time in two weeks it seems. And it sure felt like it had been two weeks! Seriously, very hard. I will be taking tomorrow off from that so I don't cripple myself!

Update!
An update on the last two days, I mean! I ran Sunday and today. Sunday I worked, but I still slept in until 8 I think. Oh, I love sleeping in!
I had a good, late morning run Sunday. My time was 29:42. Today my time was 28:54.
I had a tough morning. One of my coworkers was PO'd at me that I had the day off - and let me know. Well, she was actually mad because she got stuck with my training - on a product she knows nothing about. Which is weird, because she ought to know enough at this point. Anyway, I know, her problem. It was a super bummer. And I'm not quite hard enough to just let that stuff roll off me, you know what I mean?
And so I was full of pouting and didn't really feel like running. But I made myself and, seriously, I felt a million times better after. It is meditative, I think. I'm still irritated, but it is in perspective.
Clearly, though, I need a new job. Everyone is just totally on edge. That is my task of the week!
