Windy!
It's been kinda windy the past couple of days when I'm running east. Can hardly hear my book over the wind!
I had a good run today. I'm excited for my running partner to get here, though! I ran 5 miles, the Kensington loop. Kind of have given up on that hill route. And, I'll tell you, my foot and leg continue to feel just fine. Even with the 10 and 7 mile run in there. So I guess that's that!
I'm pretty worn out. Excited for bed already and it's only 7!
Hope you're doing OK. I'm not sure if you are spending the night in Duluth tonight or not. I'm so glad everything went well today.

Stuff and Things
I had an ok run today. Soooo slow. I don't feel like I'm that slow! But, alas, I am. That's the way of it. Oh well. It was a beautiful day to be outside, at any rate.
I didn't get the new inserts yet. I have not run hills for a few days and my leg and foot feel fine. Crazy. But I'll get them and see if they help on the hills.
I'm tired. I slept well on Friday and Saturday but not last night. Worried about work, I suppose!
Outside Run/Walk
Well, it was +35 here this afternoon so I decided to give it a try. Drove to the top of the driveway which is snow and ice packed and ran from the mailbox 1.5 miles north and back. Walked some, too. I am not road worthy! And my left heel hurt the whole way. Put ice on it when I got home but it's still hurting. So, I don't know.....

Long Run
The good news is that I got in a long run today. 10 miles. Super slow but I'm beyond caring, actually! The not great news is that my right foot and hamstring are back to hurting like they did in the fall. I got to thinking, maybe I need new inserts. I got these before the marathon in October and I've put in a decent number of miles on them. I thought they would last longer but maybe it's time. It's worth it, even if they only have a 5 month lifespan!

Good Morning
And it was a good morning, too. Got right up when the alarm went off and did my thing. Felt good today but I am just getting so bored on the TM. Looking forward to getting outside.

Good Run
Good but slow. I don't know what is up. 11 and 12 minute miles here. Maybe I'm just tired and worn out. Can't be that I'm old. Or almost old!!!
I worked from home this am so I could run before it rained. I ran around 8 and did 7 miles. Good run. I was happy to be out there. I will do a longer run on Saturday, too.
I really haven't been working on training this time. Too chaotic at work maybe.

Short Run
I did run today, but 3 miles and no giant hills. I am just so tired. What the heck? But I didn't sleep much over the weekend, I suppose. Soon I'll have an entire month to catch up on that business!
That said, I'm to bed now.

I did it!
Finally! I made it all the way up Texas without stopping. So glad. Beautiful day today.
Something funny. My right foot has been hurting again. And I just realized that I have been running hills again. What is my sore foot is related to hills and not shoes/inserts?

Up and At It
This morning I did not just roll over when the alarm went off. I got up and did it. 3 on the TM plus the exercises. Got to work off that birthday dinner from last night. The ribs were excellent but they stuck to my ribs I'm sure.

Slept Well!
I had my first good night's sleep since coming home and feel good this morning. Did my 3 and the exercises but it all still feels like work after 2 weeks off. But it'll get better I hope!
I used the Camelbak this morning, too, and it worked fine. But it must add 5 lbs to your weight don't you think? I'm anxious to be outside for a longer run and try it out there. Thanks again for that!

Back at it!
Back on the TM this morning for 3 miles and then all the push ups and sit ups of which I have done none for more than two weeks!! It was all work but I got it done. It's not like we didn't exercise on the trip, of course. Miles of hiking and one day of mountain climbing but it felt good to run again.
Our scale is officially broken! It says I weight exactly what I weighed on the Saturday before we left. Impossible to believe given all the food and deserts I ate!

My butt hurts!
Well, I am out of hill running shape, that's for sure. So yesterday and today I ran from my house, to Texas, down/up Texas, home. And I've had to walk a bit each time on the uphill. I'm going to keep doing this until I'm doing that hill three times. Without stopping.

We're Home!
We had just an excellent, excellent trip except for the lack of running time and opportunity. We would have a wake up call at 6 am, breakfast at 7 am, and on the bus for the day's touring at 8 am. And we did tour and walk and hike all day everyday so I know that counts for something. I didn't get on the scale this morning though. Won't do that until after I've run tomorrow morning. We ate WAY too much excellent food so I will pay for it I know. But now we are home and starting tomorrow morning I will get back on the program here. The San Diego Half Marathon is a month from today!!!

7 Miles
I can't remember if I posted yesterday! But I ran 5 miles. And 5 again today. It's cold - 50ish.
Good run. And I did some abs stuff.
My foot is getting stiff and sore.

Hi from Jerusalem where I am not running but am sure missing it. We are getting plenty of exercise but it's not the same. And I'm eating way too much great food. I'll be fasting for lent! Achilles tendon has really been bothering me again too so I don't know how it will go once I'm home. Time will tell.

I haven't been able to run at all while here. Well I did run 2 miles one morning while in Galilee but it was raining and I got soaked. Every other day we are up at 6 and on the road by 8 so impossible to find the time. I am getting plenty of exercise though. Hiking up and down that mountain in Petra for example. No small feat. Hope your sinus trouble gets better soon. No fun.

7 miles
Really good run today. Kinda cloudy and I actually though it might rain, but I made it a-ok. Funny because it was so pretty all day and then, when I finally got my running act together I thought it would rain for sure!
