Doing Stuff!

I have been keeping up with my couch to 5K efforts even though the app I was using broke on me!  I did get a refund.  One day I was out doing the program and I thought, "This is a really long minute!"  And then I realized: the length of a minute didn't change, the app quit working!  So I have made my own interval workout and am using that.  I miss my coach, Erin, though! 

The interval I'm doing now is 2 min walk / 2 min run. 

The other day I was out really early (maybe 5:30) and the snow on the mountains was pink from the sunrise.  It was beautiful.

Another C25K Outing

Today was day 5 of my training program and it was the same as the last.  So I bet day 6 will either have a longer run or a shorter walk.  It's a really good program and the coach makes me smile.  So it's good.  I went out around 6:30 am so I could beat the heat.  Got up to maybe 90 today.  Didn't want to practice running out in that heat!

Today I really tried to breath in through my nose, not my mouth.  I think that will help me not gulp air.

Couch to 5K

Thanks for posting, you motivated me!

I started over on the couch to 5k program.  I'm doing a bunch of diet modifications to try and beat this LPR.  I really hoped that getting off those meds would resolve it, but I need to do more. It's better but not gone. Which I guess does make sense.  I haven't had coffee of bubbly water for 3 or 4 weeks and, yes, I'm bitter about it!

Today was day 4 of that program.  8 intervals.  2 minutes walking, 1 minute running.  And I suppose we keep that up till it's all running.  I'm glad I'm doing it

3 runs, 1 walk

That's the pattern I'm getting back into here.  3 days with some running and then the 4th day just walking.  Hoping not to wear myself out as I get back into gear with this.  So, today was a walking day.  Gorgeous morning out there and perfect for it!

Let's Get Back On Track Here

I have decided that I am not done running quite yet.  I have taken a couple months off so am starting all over again but that's ok.  I walked a half mile north and ran back both yesterday and today and plan to do that for a week before upping the mileage a little at a time.  I also started on the push ups and sit ups again, too, and will up those as time goes by.
