I had another good day again today. I have been getting up an hour and a half before I have to leave for work so I have plenty of time to drink coffee, read comics, and eat breakfast. This routine helps my attitude a lot! Anyway, I did the standard toast/fruit/yogurt breakfast. I virtually never eat lunch at Calabria but I did today even though I brought my lunch. Scott made a beautiful salad that was $2 for employees and I just could not pass it up! It was really healthy, too. It was made with arugula, cherry tomatoes (yes, I ate them!!), a few toasted pine nuts, and a few thin shavings of romano cheese. He tossed the lettuce with a tiny bit of olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon juice, sea salt and freshly cracked pepper. Can you see why I could not pass it up? It was excellent. But I still wish I was having pizza for dinner instead of a sweet potato!
I did go to the gym tonight. I used the elliptical for 30 minutes and then I walked on the treadmill for a mile at a 5% incline. So, pretty good!
By the way, I cannot tell you my weight loss goal because I refuse to weigh myself! Childish, I know.

I got on the scale this morning and I'm UP a pound! Don't like to see that. Going to Sam's Club today to shop for our Men's Pig Roast tomorrow so will do some walking there and get some exercise. Have a good day!
Ha ha! Somehow a "Men's Pig Roast" seems soooo appropriate!
By the way, muscle weights more then fat. So perhaps the reason you are up is that you are gaining some muscle through your exercise.
That's what Mom keeps telling me but I still don't like it. I did all the shopping today both for the pig roast tomorrow and for ourselves for the next month. Then came home and weeded the garden and went back out and watered it tonight. So, I have done some work today and gotten exercise even though I didn't go for a walk. Hot again today so too hot to walk but not too hot to weed. Going to mow the lawn in the morning before going to work at the pig roast.
Even if you are not doing "sanctioned" exercise, it sounds like you are really active and, as you obviously know, that counts.

This site will let you enter your stats and figure out how many calories per hour you will burn. Of course, I imagine they are talking walking as opposed to riding lawnmower.
