I use my cell phone (set on vibrate) as my work alarm in the morning. And for the first time since I started working at the cafe, I slept through my alarm. I could not believe it, but the good news is that it means I finally slept! I have not had a good night's sleep for days. I have been like the waking dead. It took me a couple of hours last night to finally get to sleep, but once I did I guess I was sleeping solid! Thankfully, I only overslept by 10 minutes so it was really no big deal.
A good eating day, even though I went out for dinner. Breakfast was the now standard toast, yogurt, kiwi and lunch was a sweet potato and some peas, carrots, and pepper salad. Dinner consisted of two shared appetizers (brie and mango quesadilla and calamari) and a shared entree (small - three pieces, but excellent and worth every penny....especially since business was paying!) of scallops. Really excellent. Beverage was sparkling water. Oh, we did share dessert which was small, too. So I feel none too bad about my dinner out. I am pretty sure I was well within my suggested daily caloric intake.
I did not have time after work to go to the gym so I went for a walk in my neighborhood. I walked for 30 minutes and then turned around and headed home. According to walkjogrun.net I walked 3.82 miles. It was fun and it was a beautiful day out. As an added bonus, I not only got exercise, I got Vitamin D!

Good for you! 3.82 miles is quite a walk. I manage 1.5 miles every day and that's enough for me. Mom walks to walk 2 miles a day so we often split up half way because I want to turn around and head home.
Using a cell phone for an alarm? I've not heard of that before! Never see that on the tv commercials!
Thanks! I did not even plan that distance. I figured I would walk in one direction for 30 minutes and then head home, giving myself a 60 minute walk. I forgot to mention that I also rode my bike to work yesterday.
I know the cell phone is odd but it sure works!
