Well, darn, 7 miles may have just been a tad ambitious for my first day back. You may be thinking, "Julie probably took today off if she was ever so sore from her run." Well, let me tell you, you would be WRONG. Of course I didn't take a recovery day.
And I'm really extra sore!
I did 4 miles today and it was work ever second. And I'm running slow so there were a lot of seconds!
It was wet when I went out there. Not actively raining, but it had just finished. I didn't get rained on, even though I was prepared with my "rain gear".
I am taking tomorrow off from running. I am going to sleep in a bit and then do hills and lift weights after work. That's the plan as of now at any rate!

Sorry you are so sore! You wouldn't think taking just a few days off would make it that hard to get back to it. But it does.
And speaking of days off, I'm thinking I will take tomorrow off. I only did 3 miles on the TM this morning because I'm just plain tired.
It's snowing here right now at 8 am! Won't accumulate (I hope!) but it's coming down pretty good at the moment.
Yep, is sure does make it hard. Does not take long to get out of shape. But it sure takes forever to get in shape!
Good for you for taking tomorrow off. Sometimes a day of rest is just what is needed to get back on track.
I hope all that dang snow melted!
