Monday Morning

The new week is off to a GREAT start because I got on the scale after running 3.15 miles (!) and my weight is down a full 5 lbs since Christmas!! Tooting my horn here!! I've really been working at it though. Haven't had a snack of anything - nothing! - in more than a week. Not been so easy to do. Somebody brought brownies and chocolate chip cookies - 2 of the best things in the whole wide world - to church yesterday for coffee hour. I walked by the table a dozen times and looked at them every time but never picked one up. Apparently, "looking" doesn't add any calories so I made it back home free and clear. I have about 3 more lbs I want to lose before my annual physical on the 20th. So, I will keep avoiding the snacks this week, too. I hope.

I forgot to say that I checked my heart rate today, too, and it was at 166 at its peak. I checked in one day last week and that's where it was, too. Only supposed to be 145 for "a man my age" so that's pretty good!

Fantastic! That's really great! The feeling makes passing up brownies worthwhile. I looooove both of those items too. Dang it!

Your heart rate is really great. That means that you are super efficient! You can do more then most people. Can and do!

What say you we do another official snack free week? I'm gonna!

I'm officially snack free today! And, since I'm going to bed after I post, can safely say I will continue to be all day.
