Goodbye Shoes......

Well, I've made a life decision. One I'm VERY sad about. I am now only wearing heels for special occasions.

Let's have a moment of silence, please.

Yeah, I'm sad too. But I wore heels 3 times this week and my foot is aching like old times. So....culprit determined. I just need to come to grips. I have such awesome shoes!! I love them. LOVE.

I just need to pout a bit. The reality is that running is more important to me then cute shoes. I can't believe I just said that.

Anyway, I had a good run today! Super foggy this morning! It was neat. Strange though because it was foggy and then I looked outside around 6 and it seemed to have burned off. Then I went out to run and it was super foggy again! I mean, it was like I was getting rained on!

And I did hills at lunch. And I did the gym! I'm totally going to have muscles. I just know it.

Hey, I have a treadmill calibration idea. I finally have my Nike+ pretty dialed in again. So I know that it gives me fairly accurate distances. I can run on the treadmill with it and see if the treadmill thinks I ran as far as my Nike+.

Did I tell you that Nike+ tells me that I have run over 1000 miles since Bart gave it to me? Very cool!

What else? Oh, yeah. I HATE my sleeping sock. It is so tight on my calf. Doesn't it bug you?

Where do I start? Sorry about your shoe situation but I have never understood how women can walk in heels anyway. It just looks so uncomfortable to me and always has. I can't imagine it.

I haven't been wearing the sock but it's never been the calf that's bothered me but the big toe. Anyway, I haven't been wearing it lately.

Good idea on the TM and nike+. Maybe it's right but I have serious doubts.

Having said all that, I did run on the TM again this morning and did my exercises. Weight is down another half pound today so as much as it pains me I'm sticking with my "don't ask, don't snack" policy.

I really doubt we're going to be running that 5K on Thanksgiving morning. They're predicting a high temp that afternoon of only 19 so it'll be very cold in the morning. Too bad but I don't think I could do it without coughing up a lung. Maybe the others will.

Have a good day.

I'm feeling more accepting of this life change tonight......Coming to grips.

Did you try having the strap less tight? I wonder if your toe is getting pulled up too high and is losing blood supply and falling asleep.

We'll put your doubts to bed!

I did pretty good on DADS (Don't Ask, Don't Snack) today. Wasn't fun though!!!

Got your email about the 5K and I totally understand. I still haven't signed up for anything.
