87!

I'm glad I did it but, man, am I glad I'm done! It is 87 outside - in the sun. Of course, in San Diego it is ALL in the sun! I had about .5 of a mile to go and I thought "Shoot. I really should not be running anymore it is soooo freaking hot and I'm so thirsty!" But then I realized that I would have to WALK back and heaven forbid I do something so time consuming as walk!

I was at my garden for about two hours today. About 45 minutes of that was our meeting where I just sat and wished I was elsewhere! I think a lot of the people take it as an opportunity to visit. And there is some political drama of course. Well, it is necessary. And it is done for another month! I think that the guidelines say I only have to attend 3 out of every 6 meetings. I'm going to check on that!

So far I have only accomplished one statistics problem since I've been home from my run. That's OK - I will get it done today, I'm positive. 100% positive.

One problem is a start! And you gotta start. Just like running. No way you could run 3 or 4 miles if you didn't run the first one.

87 is too hot to be out running!!! Don't do it again!

Sounds like an exciting gardening club you belong to there! My club meetings here are very short, very productive, always to the point and on target, no wasted words. Come and join my club!

I like your club Dad!

P.S. Julie, that does sound like a miserable run. I know you are dedicated, but wow, that's crazy hot. However, I know what you mean about not wanting to walk. ;) Funny how that happens.

I got my bike back from Paul Smith today and so tomorrow after worship and the funeral, Joshua and I are taking a ride! Good times. Good cross training activity.

@Dad - that is really true. I like the saying "the only way to get where you want to be is to start where you are." That is what I did and I finished last night - made my goal!

I think you should come join my club! My meetings would be a million times better!

@Ang - Nice having your bike back! I like to bike but it hurts me bum!

OK, I ran again today in the heat. It will be nice to get back on schedule tomorrow and run at 6.
