Updates!

Hello! Well, first update: It is sooooo hot. So hot. Just crazy for us. 107 yesterday, I think. And it was 97 at 8 pm last night! Today was a bit cooler and it's only 90 right now (at 6:45 pm). So maybe we're cooling off. Hope so. Also, good news and bad news. My scale is broken! I finally womaned up and put in new batteries. But it still doesn't work. So.....gotta let that go. I've considered using the scale at the gym but.....for lots of reasons, I think I won't. I did go to the gym on Tuesday and today. Weightlifting. Yesterday I just sat around feeling whiny and greasy and miserable! And it would have been a cardio day and that gym isn't totally enclosed so it gets pretty toasty and I figured that would be a bad idea. I'm now able to do one set of 12 (each side) bicep curls with 15 pound weights! And then today I did a second and third set of 9. I made a pal at the gym today. Probably because there weren't many other suckers working out in 100 degree weather! Tomorrow should be cardio and I'm not sure what I'll do. If it is this hot again, I'll just have to take a day off and so be it. The really sad thing is that I'm at such a good part of my book!

Wow! That is miserably hot! No fun to do anything in heat like that. Wish my scale was broken! And glad you made a friend at the gym! You must be getting pretty strong with all that weight lifting. Maybe you could moonlight as a bouncer at some bar!
