Calling Dr. Redburn

When I woke up this morning and my foot was already aching I decided to call Dr. Redburn and see about getting another cortisone shot down there.  I have been walking every morning but have only run on Saturday morning for the 5K in Osceola.  And I paid for that the rest of that day.  This is very sad to me because I feel like we have had such great times over the last 5 years with these runs we've done and I hate to think those days are over.  I know these cortisone shots are only temporary measures but I'm not willing to give up completely yet.  Besides, I have this new treadmill here!

Update: I called for an appointment and was able to get in at 3:30 this afternoon. Well, it turned out to be more like 4:00 but I did get the injection so now we'll see how it is in the next couple of days.

Yeah, it is really sad. I'm with you. I'm wondering about my feet, too, and what's going to happen when I get back out on the road. We'll see.

But we have had so much fun, such a great time. And the challenge of it is part of the fun! We've said it before: An elliptical half marathon just won't be the same!

Very glad you got in today and I hope this helps as much as it did last time!
