Feelin It!

Wow, can I feel those hills yesterday! Last night, I was so tired I didn't even floss my teeth! I just went straight to bed. And this morning - I woke up one big sore spot! I really really debated my 3 mile run today, that's how sore I was. But I did it, I just took it slow and easy. So that was fine. Then Jen and I went back to that giant hill by Qualcomm and did that at lunch. And, for the first time, I ran the entire thing with no walk breaks! So that's really fantastic. Doesn't take long to build up strength. Course, it's still easier to lose strength! Dang it! Things are really cooling down here. Thank goodness. Tonight it's 70 and it's such a relief. Hopefully fall is really here - and here to stay. I made all that chicken soup and have had zero interest in eating it because it got so hot again! So. For reasons you know, I'll be working on hills till the marathon.

Hills, hills. Such a challenge for me but you seem to be conquering them daily! Way to go!

I did my 3 on the TM again today. And I am sending in our registrations for the Whistlestop this morning. Now my concern is the weather. Hope it's not this cold next weekend. 35 here this morning and very windy like it was all day yesterday. I plan to run outside tomorrow no matter how cold. Have to do something to get use to it I think. I know it was cold up in Ashland last year and probably will be again. twin City Marathon is this Sunday and they say it will be 31 at the start!

Brrrrrr! 31 is cold! I know you'll warm up, but still! I'm glad you guys are doing this and having this adventure. Cod though it may be.

I just realized I'm going to have to plan different running gear for the race. I've been practicing in (and wearing gear appropriate for) 80 degree temps. But it will probably be a high of 60 or 65 and I bet it will be dang cold in the am. I wonder if there is any second skin type of undershirt that won't cause hot spots. I hate to wear something new in race day, but there's really no help for it!

Actually, it's 61 in SF right now. I guess I thought it would be -20.
