Today I decided to do a short run (6 miles) and "run as fast as I can." Turns out....that's not super fast. Maybe I didn't really run as fast as I can. I'm going to turn on my Nike coach again. Have them tell me things. Because I want to pick up the pace. Run was good otherwise.
I also ran hills and went to the gym (session 1 of the week - 2 more to go!), so a full day. I'm tired!
I signed up for the 9:55/mile pace team, but that might be a bit ambitious. But the 10:18 is the next team and I hope to do a bit faster than that. Although, after today I guess that is where I should be!!

10 min miles over 26 miles? That would be remarkable!
I just ran 2 miles this morning because (a) I wanted to see how the left knee would feel, (b) I wanted to calibrate my nike+ on a known distance, and (c) it was cold and windy out there! Ick.
Knee bothered me some but not like Monday. I have an appointment at 9:15 this morning with the same person Angie saw a couple weeks ago. Just want to have it checked out.
I calibrated the nike+ at the Green Bay 5K but I don't think it's been right ever since. And it wasn't. I know where the one mile marker is and ran to that and back so 2 miles. Nike+ said 2.17 miles. So I didn't really run 12 miles on Monday then either. Oh well. Something to look forward to!
Well, that was my thought before I had that sickness downtime. I'm just not doing great on speed right now.
I'm happy to hear about your knee - I'll be interested to know how it goes tomorrow after the shot. I imagine that will help you SO much. I am so glad it is nothing serious.
Yeah, I guess you do have something to look forward to! And I bet your knees will do great on the for real 12 miler.
Boy, being off like that is frustrating. I feel ya!
