Different shoes

I'm not happy with the way my feet have been feeling so I pulled out an old new pair of shoes. What the heck does that mean?? Well, I got them a year ago at a running store (not RRS) but they are the same kind that RRS recommended. Anyway, I did a couple of 6 mile runs in them and then went back to my Nike Frees. And I could not return them, of course, because I ran in them! That's why I really like the policy at Road Runner. Anyway, I decided to give them another try. And the results were interesting. My right leg was very tired about 1/3 of the way through. My only thought is that I may have been favoring it in general and this morning it was able to do more of its share of the work. Because that is the foot I have the biggest problem with. But I'm also noticing a knee twinge in that same leg over the last couple of weeks, which is really why I'm trying this different shoe. I'll let you know how it goes!

Did 6 miles today and it went well. OK time. Still over 10 minute miles, but getting closer.

I did abs and pushups. Shocking, I know! And then I did hills at lunch!

Went to the last every AA Farmer's Market tonight. Sad!

Shoes are a big deal. I have been running with my orthotics in my shoes since I got these new ones in February so I used them when we were out there, too. But when I got home I decided to take them out and try that. Ran 3 days without them and could feel a difference so I put them back in and there they are. Feet don't seem to get as tired when I have them in.

I ran outside again this morning. Not as nice as yesterday but certainly ok. Did 4 miles today and got it under 11.00 so was glad to see that.

Taking tomorrow off because I'm running that 5K over in Green Bay on Saturday morning. I think it will be me, Joshua, Paul, and Amy. Angie is so sick she is staying home and Megan cancelled out the other day for something or other. Mom and Josh and I are leaving here later this afternoon.

My goodness, I'm way behind here!

Shoes are such a key issue when running. You have to have the right pair that's for sure. I've been real happy with my Asics for the last year so plan to stick with them.
