I'm kind of discouraged here. I did run 12.1 miles but at mile 9 my left knee really started bothering me. I mean I thought it was going to buckle on me. Walked about 50 feet and then ran again. And that's the way the last 3 miles went. I estimate I walked about a half mile of the last 3. And I'm in pain here now. Have an ice pack on it and will take another Aleve soon.
So, I don't know. My time was 2 hours and 14 minutes for a pace of 11.03 for the 12.1 miles which included some walking so I don't think that's too bad. My goal for the half marathon has been 2.30 so I'm thinking that even if I have to walk some I might be close to that. But, I really wanted to run the whole way.
Needless to say, I will be taking tomorrow off!

I sat in my recliner for an hour with ice on my left knee and it started to feel better. By mid afternoon is was much, much better. So in a couple of days I'll be ready to go again.
I'm sure sorry to hear about this. I know how discouraging that can be. I'm really glad it is feeling better, but I'm still concerned. I'll be interested to know if you have any pain when you are walking over the next couple of days. What kind of distanced are you planning on running this week?
Have you considered checking in with the doctor?
Anyway, I'm really glad it is feeling better tonight! Keep me updated!
This morning my knees both feel just like they did last week. Tired and "tender" but I'm certainly using them. Today is a day off for me. Not planning to see a doctor at the moment. I think this is just old knees protesting. And well they should. I will be running 3 or 4 miles again starting tomorrow. One more long run next Monday.
