Nike+ GPS SportWatch gets a firmware update!

Well, this may change my decision to return. I got an email today telling me that I could update my watch with new "software" that should fix the problem. And it really lead me to wonder because yesterday I was told it would be a firmware update. I decided to give it shot and plugged in the watch tonight and, low and behold, there was a firmware update awaiting me!

As you know, yesterday I was told (via email):

"I did, however, check with my Research team and they advised me that our Instant Pace is not working correctly on the SportWatches. They are getting a fix for this as soon as possible and will have a firmware update very soon. This is why your pace is looking very inaccurate. Your average pace should look correct when you plug in your SportWatch and upload it to our website but the instant in run pace is not working correctly at this time. We do not have an ETA...."

It was the "We do not have an ETA" that really concerned me. But miracles do happen! Now I will let you know if it works!

Good luck with it! And have a good BIG run today! I am taking the day off. Didn't sleep well again last night so am tired but also have my last big run on Monday so resting for that. And I want to get the garden planted so have a busy day ahead plus 2 graduation parties this afternoon. Hope your run today goes great!

I have an update! The firmware update did NOT work. Very frustrating because I took it for my long run. Again, the distance is spot on. So it is a Nike software problem, not a GPS problem.

I emailed Nike again yesterday and said, "This is still broken....." and they emailed me back and said, "Um...yeah, it is."

So that is that.
