Saturday sure made me a bit sad. But I'm glad I didn't let it get me down too much because I had a really good run today, and I feel confident it will all turn out OK.
I did ten miles today and I wore the stability shoes. I didn't have that tiredness I did Saturday, although I didn't run as far, either, so it's not really a true test. But I did feel really good and felt like I could keep going. Honestly, though, I started feeling a little tired (in general, not leg tired) around mile 9. So I clearly still have some work to do.
I forgot to tell you two interesting things about Lake Miramar on Saturday! First, I saw a guy who must be on the Olympic race walking team. He was walking sooo fast and one time when he passed me I saw that he had the Olympic symbol tattooed on his left shoulder blade! So he probably is on the team or really wants to be!
Then I saw these ElliptiGO machines:

You can see it in action here:

Finally, an interesting article on eggs:

I ate two today!

Shoes are a big deal and I'm kind of wondering about mine after yesterday. But I don't think that was the issue. I think I'm just not use to running that far.
I will have to look up the articles posted here later. Gotta get to work.
Never heard of these machines before. Might be fun to try one. But they sure are expensive!
And eggs. I haven't had an egg in so long I can't remember because I always thought they were so bad for me! Live and learn.
I know! They do look fun but I'd be so afraid I was going to scratch it!
I think eggs are in the same boat as bread and potatoes are in post-Atkins diet revolution. Bread and potatoes are totally good for you. But they just got such a bad reputation based on the Atkins diet say-so.
Anyway, I bet bacon is a million times worse for us than eggs!
That's probably true but is it even possible to eat eggs without bacon or ham? Not in my experience!
