I'm telling you, my left groin area is so tender when I get up in the morning I can hardly walk to the bathroom. Until I get some Aleve (2 this morning) or Ibuprofen in me, it is very uncomfortable. So I'm not running today and might just take a few days off and give it a rest. I'm registered for a 5K in Osceola on Saturday morning but not at all sure I'm going to show up now. I went through this last year in the right groin area so what's the deal here? Wish I knew.

Oh, that's terrible and frustrating! I'm very sorry to hear it.
I haven't had a chance to read this entire thing, but maybe the're something helpful here: http://injuryfix.com/archives/groin-pain.php
On my list this morning: look up groin pain! So thanks. I will read it. It wasn't quite as bad this morning as it was yesterday so I am hopeful that just taking a few days off will make it all better. I have decided not to do the 5K in Osceola tomorrow and just rest it until Tuesday when I will not have run on it for a week and see how it is. I did go to the gym this morning and lifted weights so that was something. I also walked 10 minutes on the TM but didn't push it.
Good info there and a link to some stretches that can help. He talks about icing it but seems to think heat is better. I can of remember using the heating pad on the right side last year so will try that.
Oh, smart. I like heat. I think it helps sore muscles a lot.
Good to take time off when you need it. Smart.
