2 miles on the TM

We're in Marion today and this wouldn't normally be a running day for me at all but we were up early and had all kinds of time before going to the late church service.  I wanted to run outside but it's sooooo windy.  If it was at my back the whole time that would be fine but I knew it wouldn't be so I opted for the TM in the basement here.  My knee was bothering me much of yesterday in spite of the ibuprofen I took in the morning.  Today while running I felt it more in my groin.  The first half mile is always the hardest.  I suppose the muscle warms up after that or something so I'm just toughing it out for the first few minutes and then it gets better.  Not good but better.  I have 2 Aleve in me this morning.  I sure wonder how it will be on a long run though.  I'm not going to get anywhere near 10 miles before the big day.  Hoping to get 2 more 6 milers in though.

I didn't know you were out adventuring in Iowa. No wonder nobody returned my phone call! How long are you staying?

Gaaaa, so sorry about the continued pain. But I think 6 miles is plenty of prep for the half. I think part of it is muscle memory. Your body knows how to do it and will just go by instinct when the day arrives!

Have fun with the peoples! I'm jealous!

We came down yesterday and are staying until Tuesday.

I took 2 Aleve at 7 this morning and took another now at 7 tonight. Going to see if that helps me and how I feel in the morning. Will take 2 more then. Planning to go down to the trail we ran for our Fitnatics this year and run on that in the morning.

I hope you're right about muscle memory!

Well, fun. It's so neat that you can do this stuff now.

Pretty sure I'm right about muscle memory. I can't remember for sure, though....
