I ran arond the 4 mile block again this morning and pace was slightly better. 10.56 per mile. Gorgeous morning here. Perfect actually.
I'm thinking I might try running on Thursday with my orthotics in the new shoes. These shoes feel ever so slightly higher in the heel and I like that because I feel like I'm being propelled forward with each step but they are really making the muscles in the front of my legs sore. Not sure what to do. I would really like to get away from the orthotics altogether but maybe I won't try to wean away from them until after the Whistlestop. I like the new shoes though. Feel very good.

Maybe give those shoes another week before putting in the orthotics? Or a day with and a day without? Until you are fully off of them?
You did have a better pace, that's great! We're getting there!
