Great morning! I slept and I slept well and I slept late - 7:30! and it all felt great. And it's a gorgeous morning here. Just perfect! So, I decided to go for broke and run 2 miles. Yes, run. And I did. But, oh my, am I ever out of shape!!! I had all I could do to keep myself going but I did. Left Achilles tendon is a little sore now but so be it. Now, we're going to the Polk County Fair for a couple hours so more walking. Then home to mow the lawn so more work. I have to get myself back in shape. And I will.

Congratulations! On the sleep, the sleeping in, and the run! Boy, it's insane how hard we work to build up and how easily it all goes away.
Sounds like a fun day - enjoy the fair, RunnerDad!
I meant to say, I did nothing yesterday. I had a major HR fiasco that I needed to handle so I went in to the office before 6 am. And I was just physically and emotionally exhausted after that. So I didn't even try to run.
I'm going to the Little Italy FM with Cindy this morning and I slept in a bit too. So I'll try and run or hit the gym later this afternoon.
I've got nothing to report today. I did go to the FM this am. I was just too worn out to do anything this afternoon! Tomorrow though.
My left heel was sore much of the day yesterday after that 2 miles in the morning. Isn't that ever going to heal up? My PT woman gave me an ultrasound and showed me a couple of exercises on Thursday morning but I read between the lines that there isn't a whole lot that can be done about it except for time. Very frustrating.
That's so sad. And frustrating. From what I've been reading here, rest is what fixes it.

Which is not what either of us want to hear!
