I'll be heading out here pretty soon to run in the Center City 5K which is being held in Lindstrom. Go figure. +14 here at the moment but the sun is shining so it should warm up a little more. I'll report back after the run.
It went great! +18 at race time and I did it with a pace of 9:59 which I thought was great given that the road we ran on was pretty icy in places. They hadn't sanded it at all and it was not very good for running. But we did it! I came in 3rd in the old man's category!
That's fantastic! Still cold, but it sure could have been worse!
You're time is really great, especially under those conditions. You have to slow down to avoid injury. I can't believe they had not sanded yet! Was it on a driving road or was it a trail?
Congratulations on beating all the other old men and I bet a lot of the young ones, too!

It was a road on a peninsula out into a lake with cabins and homes on both sides. So there were a few cars to contend with, too.
