Sore!

I went to pilates tonight for the first time in....dang, a long time. And I've lost so much of my strength. It was good because it is motivating but it is also really depressing. I know you know what I mean. I also ran this am. Saw maybe 4 other runners out there!

Use it or lose it is so true about so many things. Including muscle tone. I know when we've been gone on a vacation or something and I don't do the push ups for a week I sure feel it when I start again.

So, here's a goal for you. Get up on Jan 28th and run a 5K with me! Mine starts at 10:00 am in Center City. Then we'll compare notes on time, temp, conditions, etc.

I started looking at marathon training plans last night and am probably going to use the simplest one I can fine. The official one from Grandma's starts on Feb. 13th so that's just around the corner! But his plans include speed work and things I don't bother with. I just want to finish not set a record!

So, this morning the TM said 3.07, the nike+ said 3.09, and garmin said 3.23. So I don't think the garmin foot pod is quite right. I set the nike+ to the garmin satellite last Sunday so I think they're pretty close but the foot pod is off a little. How do you adjust the foot pod calibration? Do you know? At this point the nike+ and the TM are so close it doesn't matter. And since I set the nike+ to the satellite I now think the TM is right on, too.

That's a good goal. I'm in! I might not torture you with news of my weather conditions, though.

I do think I'll do some speed work, but of my own design. Nothing fancy. But I really need to get back to hills. Must.

You know, I've never set my foot pod, but I know there is a way to do it. In conjunction with a satellite, even, so you know it's right. I'll fiddle with it this weekend.
