I ran this morning! Did the two miles in 20.04. First time I've tried to run in 3 weeks I think. A little strain in the leg but not bad at all. Didn't think I would make it in the breathing department but just kept going and did it! How quickly we can get back out of shape if we don't keep it up. Also added 5 situps (so 25) and 5 pushups (2 sets of 15) so will see how that goes through the week. Weight has been holding steady the last 3 days at 48 lbs below my beginning weight and 7 lbs below my goal weight. So I must be at a new goal. We'll see how it goes this week.
And I was in new running shoes, too! How about that? We stopped at Penney's yesterday and I got another pair of Nike Airs. That's what I've been wearing to run/walk/bike now for a year and I like 'em so bought a new pair. Been going to do it for 2 months but finally got there to get them.
And, yes, my bike has those skinny tires and that's why I don't like the gravel. But I don't work as hard just going north 2 miles. Not enough hills that way!

YAY!!!! This is GREAT news! I'm saying a prayer for you that I get more great news tomorrow....like "My leg feels great today!" But, really, that is very exciting. And your time is great! Not too far off from before! It is amazing how quickly the stamina goes.
I just want to make my goal! Someday......But, yeah, sounds like your body had gotten used to this weight and is ready for changes. Pretty cool to think of how far you have come!
Totally weird about the shoes! And, obviously, I know exactly what you mean about intention vs. action. But we are twins!
I slacked today. Just so much to accomplish and my morning got away from me. I will be back at it tomorrow though!
