The scale is our enemy! Today I weighed 3 pounds less then yesterday. My scale is out to get me! Actually, I suppose I'm getting all that "eating out salt" out of my system. Yeah, I just blamed salt rather then calories.
Good run this AM - 29:50. Pushups upon my return. Then hills at lunch. So, the usual!
I sure had a hard time getting up today. I actually snoozed. 5 AM came fast!
Do you like polenta? I'm making for the first time tonight. Fried in a little bit of olive oil, topped with sauteed tomatoes/garlic/pepper/balsamic/basil, and some prosciutto and mozzarella. Totally excited!!
UPDATE: Dinner was TOTALLY DELICIOUS!!!

Polenta? I've never heard of it. What is it?
My leg ached all day long yesterday. So I sat on ice here last night again for a while.
Did the bike ride this morning but leg is still aching so don't know. I might have to find a different way to exercise for a while. Must be something else I can do that will get my heart going but won't hurt my leg. Might have to join a gym! Horrors! I don't know where I'd find the time though. Takes time to go and come back. I looked up elliptical machines last night and I can't afford to buy one! Even bike machines are very expensive. Going to make another PT appointment for Monday and see what else they suggest.
Yeah, those scales are nuts! Now, today I am down a whole pound. Two days ago I was up 1.2. Makes no sense.
Have a good day.
I'm sure sorry about your gimp leg. Have you checked Craig's List for exercise equipment? You might find a great deal there - especially with the economy so tough right now. People are very interested in making some extra cash! I've also bought things at second hand sporting goods stores - out here we have something called Play It Again Sports. Maybe you have something like that in your area.
Oy, the gym! The commute time is my problem, too. Well that and people trying to visit with me.
I'm down another pound today. So weird. But happy, don't get me wrong!
Polenta is a corn meal....thing. It is Italian and I guess is a staple food there (well, in some areas).

Mine was not mushy as shown in this picture. I bought it like you can buy those tubes of cookie dough and sliced it thing. I'm hungry for it again right now!!
I've looked at the 2nd wind web site here for used equipment but not the one you mention. I think they're here in the Cities, too, though so will check them out.
Congratulations on the pound loss! Hard to figure sometimes but happy when it goes down!
Yeah, weight is nuts. That said, I'm back to .5 above my goal - my original goal, I should say.
I tend to really overeat on the weekend. So my goal this weekend is to make sure that I am at 130.5 on Monday - like I am today! So my goal is to just maintain.
Now that I'm almost to my goal, though, I can see that it would not be a bad idea to get down 5 more pounds. I have it to lose and I think it will resolve that stomach flub situation. And, heck, why not???
