Injured

I haven't been running or posting since Tuesday because on that afternoon I ruptured the "plantaris tendon" in my left leg.  It runs down through the calf below the knee.  I could hardly walk after it happened Tuesday afternoon and went to the doctor on Wednesday morning.  Nothing to do for it except ibuprofen and ice.  It is much, much better but is still bothering me now on Saturday.  Will take 2-3 weeks to fully heal.  Really made me MAD!  I am walking fine but if I turn a little bit the wrong way, I can still feel it.  And I was doing so well, too!  And I will again.

Devastating news! I'm so sorry to hear about this injury. Anything with the word "plantar" makes me cringe in phantom pain and feel exceedingly bad for the sufferer. Is this the same side that you had to wear the boot on?

I'd be mad, too! I know you'll get back on track when you're healed, but it is so frustrating!

Not the same side as the boot in 2010. Yes, 9 years ago! Anyway, left side this time. Still hurts after sleeping all night or sitting in chair for a while. Loosens up with some walking. Hope it's better soon.
