Zoot!

Pretty sure that's French for damn! Let's pretend it is! I did a 5 mile run today and I was greatly excited about it because I wanted to see what was happening in my book! And I got about a third of a mile in when my book said, "This audiobook has been broken into two parts for easier download. You have reached the end of part 1." Arrrrrrgggggggggggg!!!! I knew it was broken in two parts! I have both parts! I just didn't know that I was that close to the end of the first part! I was really really torn. I had a very strong compulsion to come home and get it. But I knew it would take 10 minutes to fire up my computer and add it to my iPod and I didn't have the time. So I just ran the old fashioned way. With music! But I did it and it was good. But soooo slow. My pace isn't getting any better and it's super bumming me out. I did lunges and abs when I got home. And I did hills at lunch, which will help with my pace. It was pretty warm again today, and I only did 3. But I went to a different hill that is longer than my usual one. 4 miles on the calendar for tomorrow.

That's a bummer about the book!

I ran the 5K route again today. My pace isn't so great either but I'm not really worrying about it. Gorgeous morning but much cooler than yesterday. 57 when I left the house today and yesterday it was 70. Much prefer today's temp. Heel felt 98% ok so glad for that. Guess wearing the orthotics full time is helping me there even though it's a hassle to keep moving them from shoe to shoe to shoe.

I'm glad you're feeling better - I'm also trying not to worry about pace. Honestly, it bugs me. But I've got to let it go.

You're appointment for the new orthotics is in September, right?

My weather was nice today, too! But I didn't run. I woke up sooooo tired and also very sore. Don't know why. So I just lifted weights. Mostly because I want to be ready to go tomorrow!

Not sure where I'll run tomorrow. It will be cooler on the Kensington Loop than at Lake Miramar or Lake Murray. By at least 10 degrees. 80 vs. 90. So I'd rather go to Murray but I'll probably stay local so I can take advantage of the cooler weather.

My appointment isn't until a week from Tuesday on the 11th. I guess I think wearing these things full time has made the different. Heel isn't bothering me at all any more. So glad for that!

You shouldn't run in 80 or 90 degree heat!! Listen to your father!!

I ran around the 4 mile block here this morning and pace was 10.24 so I was ok with that. Only 63 here when I left the house and just another gorgeous perfect morning out there. Love this weather and wish it could last.

I'm going to run around the 6 mile block on Monday and if that goes ok I will register for the Whistlestop Half on Oct. 13. I think.
