Good Morning from Iowa

I went out for a run again this morning but only got 1.75 done because it started to rain.  Yes, rain!  They have been so dry here all summer that it's just sad to see the lawns and the crops.  Terrible.  So they need the rain but it did cut my run a little short.  Went ok though.  The only bad thing about running here, however, is that everything is concrete.  Sidewalks and streets and roads.  Concrete is hard on me.  And they aren't anywhere near a trail of any kind that I know of yet.  In DePere they were 1/2 mile from the River Walk which was a wonderful running trail.  Haven't found anything like that here yet.

Rain! Yay for them, sad for you!

Yeah, we need forgiving surfaces. Maybe you can find something close here:

I'm a little peeved at myself here. Again, I could not sleep last night. And it is all work related. I'm just inundated with worry. So I finally took one Nyquil pill around 2 and I just had zero pep today. None.

Sure sorry to hear this about your lack of sleep. But I know how it is. Sometimes I envy the custodian who mops the floor, mows the lawn, cleans the toilet and goes home.

I will check out the link you sent.

I ran 2 here again this morning but it was already getting warm at 8:15 when I left the house and I was a sweaty mess by the time I got home.

Don't I know it. More drama today as I had someone quit. And it wasn't me!

Yeah, we're in the thick of summer, for sure. How long are you in Iowa?

Maybe you can find a local running club who can point you in the right direction.

We're heading home within the hour so no need to find a club here. Thanks though.

Someone quit? Better job come along?
