Good Morning

Good morning. We are up and at it. I walked Carter to school and then walked his bike back home because he couldn't find his bike lock this morning. Then I went for a run. It really seemed like work today. Why is that? Lately, it seems to be getting harder instead of easier and I am expecting the opposite to happen. I only ran for 17 minutes this morning and walked the rest of the way home. I was pooped at 17 minutes. Not sure how far I went but am going to drive it before we leave here so I will know. I think I was running faster than usual for some reason and I think it's harder (no pun intended) to run on concrete sidewalks than on a blacktop road. Seemed harder on my lower legs. So the second half I moved to the medians and ran on people's grass! Hope they didn't mind. I will run the rest of the week at home but don't expect I'll get any running in while on our trip. Of course, when we're in Olympia I plan to run around the original Olympic track if there is one. Not sure what's there. Hope there's something though because that would be kind of fun to do. And then I would always be able to say that I ran in the olympics! Have a good day!

Before we left town I drove my running route and now know that I only ran 1.7 miles there this morning. Seemed like more because it seemed like such work! Hoping it feels better here at home tomorrow.

That would be amazing if you could run that track!! What a great idea! I want an autographed photo of you if it can happen!

OK, nothing irritates me more then missing my distance. And, yeah, I know that sometimes it just seems freaking hard. Grass is the runner's best friend - well, along with shade!

I'm doing something a little different, energy wise. I'm not hungry at all when I wake up but I'm drinking a glass of soy milk. It is full of protein and sugars so it should give me an extra boost for running. I think. I hope.

I am also an advocate of new running shoes when the time comes. They really really help.
