Woke up feeling sore but not terrible. In fact, I was feeling pretty good. And it was a beautiful day so I decided to go for a run. And now I'm sore as all get out. I strongly suspect tomorrow will be a day of walking. But I need to make sure I get back into the gym routine so I might try and go anyway tomorrow. Otherwise, Saturday.

Did they remember you at the gym? So easy to get out of the habit. I guess our health benefits are changing in 2018 so that I will have access to any gym in the country that participates in the silver sneakers program. Good news!
What kind of new shoes did you get? I am due for some but haven't even looked yet. I usually get Asics though.
Nope! I don't think they did! And, yeah, it is easy to get out of that habit. And so hard to get back into it. And I was still feeling sore today, so I've taken it pretty easy. I have been walking but no runs or gym. But I'll do one or the other tomorrow.
The brand I got is Vionic. But I haven't run in them, only walked. Bart and I are going to a music festival next weekend and I needed something I could walk in and stand in all day. I have all kinds of shoes but, except for my current neon green running shoes, they trend toward "cute" more than "comfort". Generally they are fine for a normal day of wear but not a full day of standing around! If I do continue to like these a lot, I am going to see if they have actual running shoes. These are orthopedic shoes designed by a podiatrist. So they claim!
I realized that I was totally confused about this shoe conversation! I am running in new shoes right now, and that's what you were asking about. I'm behind the times! Last year I bought these neon green Saucony running shoes but I've been continuing to run in Nikes. But I noticed that the tread of my Nike shoes were just getting trashed, so I pulled out these Saucony shoes and I am really liking them!
And, as noted in my previous comment, I have a new pair of walking shoes that I really like.
Whew! I hope I'm unconfused now!
