I had another really good run this morning. It feels good to be back in the swing of things, truth be told. Anyway, my time was not awesome (33....52 maybe?). But a good run, and strong feeling.
But the really great news is that I did 12 boy push ups today! I'm going to try and do them 3 days a week. Should really help add some definition to my arms.

So that's what it takes? I have always wanted my arms to have "definition." 12 is great. I only do 15 and still struggle on the last 2-3. Doesn't seem to get easier and I don't know why.
On to the good news. This morning I am down 2 whole lbs! How can that be? I just don't understand weight at all. How do you go up or down 2 lbs in a day no matter what you do or don't do?
Walked with Billy Joel this morning and he was good company. Didn't sleep well and was up at 6:30 ON A SATURDAY! That's sacriligious it seems to me. I'm making turkey noodle soup today for next week's Lenten soup supper. Have the turkey in the oven now.
-14 here at 6:30 today!!!! Yes, I said -14! Enough is enough.

Well, that is what "they" say. I am actually going to do the one hundred push up challenge! I'm going to star officially in two weeks or so:

So I am in preparation now.
I don't do all of my push ups in a row. I do 3 or four and then take a break for a minute or two. Then three or four more. I sincerely doubt that I could do 15 in a row right now, let alone 12 or even 9! That break helps me regroup a bit.
I also have decided to add some triceps dips to my routine. I did that yesterday. My arms are sure sore today!
I am only doing both every other day to allow my muscles a chance to rest and repair.
Well....um.....congratulations! Actually, that is totally irritating. And, yes, that happens to me. Which is why I quit weighing myself every day and am now only doing it once a week. I have approximately 25 pounds I need to drop (give or take. I'm really not married to a number.) and seeing that I gained two pounds in one day is super discouraging. Once I get to goal, I suppose I'll get back into the daily weigh in so I can be aware of trends and nip problems in the bud, but, yeah, obnoxious.
-14?? That is disgusting! Dad, you had better pack a bag in move in with me!
