Crap!

Here's the note I just got from Dr. Redburn:

Hi Wayne,

I have reviewed your MRI results. MRI shows "contusion type injury with early osteonecrosis". This means you have a bone bruise and arthritis in the joint. I recommend a short course of immobilization in a CAM boot for approximately 2 weeks to see if rest will help resolve the pain. If that is not successful, I would consider an injection. Have a good weekend!

It's official. She wants me in the big black boot for 2 weeks! UGH!!!! I had loaned mine to the Kutneys for Megan so Angie is bringing it over tonight. And in it I will go. Gotta get this over with before gardening season is upon me! So, I won't be running obviously for at least 2 weeks. Glad I didn't register for the Osceola 5K at the end of April. Very UNhappy about this.

Angie brought 3 boots over last night but none of them were the one I wore in 2010 so I don't know where that is. Not here I know. So I kept one of them but haven't put it on yet this morning. Not a happy camper here. Hope Mom survives.

I hope she survives, too. We need her!

Do you think your boot is in North Dakota?

I'm having so many technical difficulties. I commented on your post last night from my phone but no comment was actually posted! But it was full of pity and commiseration! Just now I was posting and accidently powered down my tablet!!!! yeah.....don't ask how. I'm special!

I think i'll enable anonyous comments on our blog. This reCATCHA is such a pain.

What is reCATCHA? Never heard of that. Sorry for your technical problems.

i don't think I can wear this boot for 2 more hours let alone two more weeks. Killing my back walking on two different levels. Foot feels worse in the boot than out of it.

Please don't turn on anonymous comments! The troubles you have now will pale in comparison to deleting all the spam that will flood in!

Dad, when I leave a comment I have to prove I'm not a spam bot. So I have to type a couple words or pick some pictures. I don't know why because I'm always logged in when I comment!

How was the boot today? Any better?

Bart, as usual, I will follow your good advice!

Well, what's happened here? We never use to have to prove we weren't robots!

I stopped by the clinic this morning to make sure this old boot was ok and it is. I guess it's the one I wore 5 years ago. And it's going better. By the end of the day my back is hurting though from walking around in it with a tennis shoe on the other foot. Maybe I should wear two boots so I walk even! I'm not sure it's doing anything for me though. At least not yet.

Noe, I see the little box right below me here asking me to prove I'm not a robot but I didn't have to check it to post that last message.
