Mixed bag of news: Yay and Boos!

The yay is that I ran 10 miles today!  They were slow miles, to be sure.  But I did it.  And it helps me feel like I'm physically and mentally prepared.  Or at least able.

And I did a hard route.  I did the Texas run twice and then finished the last 1.5 around my house.  So I ran from my house, to Texas, down/up, home.  Twice!  That put me at 8.4 something.  And, yep, I ran the entire way!

Now the not great news.  My right foot hurts and, tonight, I'm having a problem with my right knee.  Hopefully that will mend itself in short order.  I don't know if the problem is my foot or my shoe.  Probably my foot and I'm blaming my shoe.

The other SUPER frustrating thing is that, today, I weigh more than I did when I did my "I haven't weighed myself for months!" weigh in!  One pound more.  I could have punched....my scale.  I did not run yesterday and I did go out for lunch but I was a responsible eater.  So......really infuriating.

Good news: my knee and foot feel good. Slept in my straussburg sock.

Bad news: I still weight the same.

10 miles? Wow! I'm impressed. Including up and down Texas? You are in shape. Hope the foot thing is better today and was just a fluke. I can't imagine doing 10 miles at the moment. I just don't see how I'm going to do that half.

Infuriating is exactly the right word. I just don't see how we're not losing weight when we're running every day.

Glad to see the second note here about your foot. Good.

Thanks! Honestly, I'm impressed too. I wondered but I did do it!

I don't think I'll weigh in tomorrow because I didn't exercise today.

Also, I think you can do it. I think the fact that I did 10 shows that we've trained enough over the years for our bodies to pull it out when needed.
