What a glorious morning here in northern Wisconsin! Perfect running weather. 65. Sunny. No wind. Gorgeous! And I took advantage of it by running from home to the church. 9.03 miles in 1 hour and 39 minutes so my pace was almost exactly 11.00 minutes per mile. I'm happy with that and even felt strong at the end. I could have gone farther but my chariot and chauffer were there waiting to bring me back home. Grandma's here I come!

Darn the chariot and chauffeur!
Wow, I'm so proud of you! What a fantastic run. You are ready, for sure!
I am excited, if not ready!
How's your heel feeling? Great, I hope. Or, at least, ignorable!
Well, it didn't bother me during that long run at all. Not once. Not even a thought about it. Later in the day though it started to hurt and bothered me all the rest of the day. This morning it hurt when I first got up but got better fairly quickly. Actually, I thought it got better during my shower so now I'm wondering if I should be putting the heating pad on it instead of the ice pack. The hot water helped. More experimenting ahead. If someone could explain this to me I would be most grateful. It seems logical that it should hurt when I run and feel better when I don't instead of being the other way around. Just makes no sense to me at all.
No run today. After a long one I take the next day off!
I wonder if it warms up as you use it and that's why it stops hurting. Very odd though. I am a fan of heat. I say mix in some heat but keep up with the icing, too. Why not?
I hope you enjoyed your day off! I may take tomorrow off but I have so much guilt about not running these past few days. We'll see.
