Hello friends. Yes, I exist! Sorry for my absence (Julie).
I, too, have been slacking on the running situation. But I'm back on track now running about 2.5-3 miles every other day.
Let me ask you this, what do you know about bursitis? Other than it is apparently a chronic pain in a joint (in my case my right hip), is there any treatment. This is my self diagnosis for this pain I've had over the last 3 weeks. The pain is also the reason I've switched to running every other day. I need a rest. On the 'other' days I've been focusing on weight training, etc. I just do not have enough time to do both cardio and weight training in one day. Alas, earwax. But since I've lost a TON of weight in such a short amount of time I really need to tone up. So it all works out!

Congratulations on your weight loss!
Actually, you are probably doing your body a favor with this crosstraining program. Weight training is super good for you and your body really does need a rest from the high impact training of running.
I do not know a darn thing about bursitis. I thought they just gave you a steroid shot. Seeing as you basically own a hospital, I would have a little chit chat with a professional
