Catching Up

I have been running almost every day (except today!).  Inside for the most part where I was up to 2 miles on the TM with no problem.  Then yesterday I ran outside and couldn't even get through the first mile without having to walk some.  So, what's up with that?  Why is it harder to run outside than inside?  Of course, I have a hill to run up the first 4/10's outside but also have the TM set at a 1% incline so it shouldn't matter.  But it does.  Anyway, I am keeping at it but just needed a day off today.

It is crazy how different it is to change from inside to outside (and vice versa!). But it really is different. For me, the treadmill is so much more difficult. Probably because I do the majority of my training outside. Is it just that we find what we have become accustomed to the "easier" way?
