Don't know what got into me this morning but I decided to run from the house and see how it went. Ran up the hill and only walked about 50 feet in the middle of the 2 mile run. That's progress for an old man! Also did 50 push ups and 50 sit ups when I got back to the house. Feeling good about all of it!

After a day off yesterday because I had to be at the clinic at 8:20 to give blood I got back outside this morning and today ran the whole 2 miles! Even up the hill again! Happy with this little bit of progress.
Ran inside today because I wanted to see how the Garmin foot pod calibrates with the Nike+. Nike+ = 2 miles. Garmin foot pod = 2.2 miles. so it's off. Looked up how to recalibrate it so will see next time if what I did was right. The Nike+ and the Garmin satellite were exactly the same yesterday outside.
Finally had a gorgeous morning so I ran outside and did well! Ran the whole 2 miles so I'm making progress and feel good about it.
Not really too excited about running a 5K at 6 pm on Friday (that's dinner time, not running time!) but guess I'll do it and get it done. Will comfort myself with the thought that I won't be getting up at 3 am to run the half!
