See, this is the way it goes. One morning it feels ok and the next it doesn't. I did go for a brisk 2 mile walk this morning but my foot was bothering me the whole way. I didn't try to run partly because of that and partly because it's so humid out there!

I went to an introductory meditation class tonight. Really neat!
I was emailing with Dr. Redburn yesterday and she says I can have 3 or 4 injections per year so I might go for another one eventually. Not bothering me at all this morning but then we are having thunderstorms and rain so I'm not going out there anyway. No treadmill here now either although we might start looking for a new one today. We are going to the city for some shopping.
What kind of meditation class?
Well, I'm glad you have the option to get more. As you know, I sometimes to the elliptical or Stairway to Hell at the gym, but it's just not the same as running. My foot hurts so much (left heel feels bruised) but I'm just kinda ignoring it. As much as possible.
This medication class is at a yoga studio called Pilgramage of the Heart. I like to call it The Cult! They are very very serious about yoga! But they offer free meditation classes and this was the introduction. So the class was 50 minutes long. At the begininng he talked a bit about meditation. Then he did a guided meditation with us. Starts with breathing stuff and then you focus on your heart and see a tiny golden flower in place of your heart. And you focus on that fower growing and blooming and it is perfect. And as it grows it sends love out from itself. Then you focus on the same concept but with a blue flower located at the center of your forehead. Finally the same with a white flower at the crown of your head. And other thoughts may intrude and that's ok. You just aknowledge them and put them aside and refocus on growing your flower.
It was really interesting and I left there felling substantially less anxious than when I arrived. And it's lasted through today, too. Because I've been having angst! So I'm pretty impressed it helped me like that. In fact, I downloaded an app for meditation. It's different guided meditations between 3 and 15 minutes. If you want to try it, I got it at the play store (free!) and it's called Breath Lite.
