I've had big runs this weekend! About 6.5 miles yesterday and a little over 7 today. Cause, yep, I've got a new goal. Ready? Sitting? OK. My goal is to run 400 miles by December 30th. Insane! But I'm going to try! That's about 4.5 miles per day. So I'm padding my distances a bit this weekend.
My plan for the week is this:
Monday: 7 miles
Tuesday: 7 miles
Wednesday: 6 miles
Thursday: 5 miles
Friday 4.5 miles
We'll see how it works out!

I can't even imagine it. You're nuts! But more power to you! So I suppose that day in Balboa Park you'll run it twice to keep your mileage up?
I was on the TM again today. I don't seem to be getting back to where I was last spring though. Upped my speed to 5.5 and did 2.8 miles but I was done at 30 minutes. I've been doing 5.3 so doesn't seem like much of a leap to go to 5.5 but it felt like it. So....you'll have to be wearing rear view mirrors to watch me in the race!
I know it's crazy! We'll see what happens. I really like distance though, so I'm happy to be putting in the miles again.
Nope, once around the park is good for me!
I think it is tough to build speed. I've really been struggling with my pace. Maybe there are some exercises we are supposed to do to help.
